AARP Rewards: free account, rotating drawings, no points required
A nonprofit sweepstakes desk that says the quiet part on the hub page: no purchase or points necessary.
Strong free-entry policy and operator reputation. You still have to read each promotion's rules; the catalog is not one jackpot.
Why this grade
AARP publishes NPN official rules. A free aarp.org account is enough — paid AARP membership is not required to enter Rewards sweeps. Points from quizzes, videos, and games can be redeemed for entries. Not A because prizes rotate (no single standing jackpot), some promotions are skill contests, and members get extra points. What it is
AARP runs a free Rewards program with monthly sweepstakes and instant-win games. The public hub states that no purchase or points are necessary and points to official rules plus an alternate method of entry.
We verified NPN language on 2026 rules PDFs, including a named $26,000 Your Way Sweepstakes and an Invest in Your Nest $10K Sweepstakes that ended August 21, 2026. Those figures describe those promotions, not whatever is live on the day you visit.
How free entry works
Create a free AARP.org account. Paid membership is a separate product. Follow the current promotion's official rules for the AMOE if the on-screen path talks about redeeming points — points are not supposed to be required.
Typically 18+, 50 U.S. states and D.C. Merkle Inc. appears as administrator on some rules PDFs.

- The Rewards catalog changes. Always open the official rules for the specific drawing you enter.
- Some AARP contests are skill contests (photo, essay), not random-draw sweepstakes. We are ranking the Rewards sweepstakes program, not every AARP contest.
- AARP membership marketing sits next to the sweeps hub. Membership is not required to create an account, but the site will offer it.
