What it is

An annual winter giveaway from Discovery Communications, LLC (HGTV / Warner Bros. Discovery). The 2026 official rules ran December 16, 2025 through February 13, 2026. One grand-prize winner was drawn on or about February 17, 2026. HGTV later published Eileen Reimer of Atlanta as the winner of the Lake Wylie / Charlotte-area house.

The rules listed a home ARV of $2,348,933 plus $100,000 by electronic transfer (total ARV $2,448,933), or a $750,000 cash option in lieu of the house — in which case the $100,000 cash prize still pays. The rules caution that marketing photos may depict items that are not part of the prize. Winner pays taxes, closing costs, insurance, and upkeep.

How free entry works

No purchase necessary; a purchase will not increase your chance of winning. One online entry per person per website per day, on HGTV.com and FoodNetwork.com. Marketing email is optional. The 2026 rules we read did not include a mail-in AMOE.

Eligibility: 21+, legal resident of the 50 U.S. states and D.C. including territories, possessions, and commonwealths. Void where prohibited. Sponsor may background-check a prospective winner.
