Pulsz tags five states 'GC only' and leaves Illinois untagged

Published September 7, 2026. Every claim below cites a document we opened: Pulsz's terms of use in versions 4.9, 5.0 and 5.2, the Pulsz Bingo terms, three Pulsz help-center articles, the Illinois Gaming Board's February 4, 2026 letter, release and letter index, and four other operators' terms, all retrieved September 5, 2026, plus one press report, labeled as such.

Pulsz's help-center article "Where can I find Pulsz in the US?", edited September 2, 2026, says "Pulsz is available online in 36 US states and the District of Columbia". Five carry the tag "(GC only)": Indiana, Maine, Mississippi, New Jersey and Oklahoma. Illinois is listed with no tag. The page does not define the tag; Pulsz's article "What are Gold Coins?", edited July 8, 2026, defines the currency: "Gold Coins are Pulsz's fun-play currency. They are used for entertainment gameplay and do not have real-world monetary value. Gold Coins cannot be exchanged for cash or prizes."

Clause 3.4 of Pulsz's terms of use, version 5.2, names the same five: "if you are based in Mississippi, New Jersey, Indiana, Maine and Oklahoma certain promotions shall be limited for you". Read together, the tag and the clause describe a state where Pulsz offers its fun-play currency and limits its promotions. We found no published Pulsz definition of the tag beyond those two documents; this article treats "GC only" as the operator's own disclosure and nothing more. Illinois is in neither that group nor the fourteen "Restricted Territories"; it is listed without a qualifier.

Three versions, three changes, one new clause

Version 4.9 is "updated as of January 12, 2026", version 5.0 "as of May 4, 2026" and version 5.2 "as of September 1, 2026". They differ in three places beyond the version line: clause 3.4 named "Mississippi and New Jersey" in January, added Indiana in May, and added Maine and Oklahoma on September 1; May 4 also added clause 4.15. The fourteen Restricted Territories are unchanged apart from the order of two names. We did not locate a version 5.1, and the document carries no summary of changes. Pulsz Bingo's terms, version 3.2, also dated September 1, carry the same language.

Clause 4.15, "Medical Conditions and Personal Responsibility", is a responsible-gaming provision. It asks a player who cannot use the service "safely or responsibly" to stop, and states: "We reserve the right to suspend or permanently close your account, if We reasonably determine that You cannot safely, responsibly or legally use the Service." And: "In the event of suspension or termination under this section, Virtual Coins shall be forfeited". The operator has not published an explanation for the change; this article will be updated if one is provided.

Indiana, in Pulsz's words

Pulsz's Indiana notice is the help-center article "NOTICE FOR INDIANA PLAYERS", created May 13, 2026: "From May 4, 2026, mail-in sweepstakes codes will no longer be generated on the website." And: "You have until June 22, 2026 to enter sweepstake promotions with any remaining Sweepstakes Coins in your account, and also to redeem any eligible sweepstakes prizes. After this date, all Sweepstakes Coins in your account will expire". Indiana's HB 1052 took effect July 1, 2026, per our crackdown timeline, nine days after Pulsz's expiry date. For Maine (LD 2007) and Oklahoma (SB 1589, effective November 1), both on that timeline, we found no help-center notice.

Illinois: the letter, the list, the terms

On February 4, 2026 the Illinois Gaming Board wrote to Pulsz at 2 Irish Town, Gibraltar, the address in its terms, via [email protected]. The board "has reason to believe" Pulsz is operating an online casino without its authorization and says it observed Pulsz on January 9, 2026 offering Illinois users games with cash, gift cards and other prizes. The demand: "the IGB demands that you block Illinois residents from accessing your services or discontinue offering cash, gift cards, and other prizes through your service". It warns of "civil or criminal penalties", sets no deadline and asks for no reply.

The board's February 5 release describes "more than 60 cease-and-desist letters"; its public index lists 65, all dated February 5, 2026, one to Pulsz and none since. Seven months on, Pulsz's help page lists Illinois without a tag and its Restricted Territories are unchanged. iGamingFuture reported on May 16, 2026 that Pulsz and others "continue to serve Illinois players"; that is press. We are not a regulator and we do not claim any law is being broken; we could not observe the site from Illinois. The open questions, whether Pulsz replied, whether Illinois accounts can play Sweepstakes Coins today and whether the board regards the letter as answered, have no published answer we could open; this article will be updated if one arrives.

What a player should do with this

In Illinois: Pulsz's page says the site is available to you; the state's board has demanded that Pulsz block you or stop offering prizes. No document we opened says whether anything changed for Illinois accounts after the letter. Indiana shows how Pulsz handled one exit: codes off May 4, a notice created May 13, Sweepstakes Coins expired June 22.
In a GC-only state: Gold Coins "cannot be exchanged for cash or prizes", per Pulsz; no document we opened says what a purchase includes there. Anywhere: read clause 4.15.2 before buying.
In Indiana: June 22 has passed and, per the notice, remaining Sweepstakes Coins expired. Questions go to [email protected]. Pay nobody to release a prize.

Common questions

Is Pulsz available in Illinois?

Pulsz's help page, edited September 2, 2026, lists Illinois among 36 states it calls available, with no GC-only tag, and its September 1 terms do not name Illinois as a Restricted Territory. The Illinois Gaming Board's February 4, 2026 letter demanded that Pulsz block Illinois residents or stop offering prizes; it set no deadline. We are not a regulator.

What does GC only mean on Pulsz's state list?

The help page does not define it. Pulsz's article "What are Gold Coins?" says Gold Coins are its fun-play currency with no real-world monetary value that cannot be exchanged for cash or prizes. The five tagged states match the five its terms list as promotions-limited.

When did Pulsz end Sweepstakes Coins play in Indiana?

Per Pulsz's notice for Indiana players, mail-in sweepstakes codes stopped on May 4, 2026, and players had until June 22, 2026 to enter promotions and redeem prizes; after that, Sweepstakes Coins in Indiana accounts expired and SC-mode play ended. Indiana's law took effect July 1, 2026.
